Officials from Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement along with governmental officials from Kachin State provided relief aid to flood victims in Kachin State, state media reported.

The flood water from the Ayeyawady inundated low-lying areas in Myitkyina and Waingmaw of Kachin State including Rampu, Kyat Paung Chan, Le Kone and Myoet Thit Gyi quarters on 11 and 12 July, forcing 579 local people from 136 households to take temporary shelters.
