China donated cash assistance of 400,000 U.S. dollars to be used in the government's peace process on Wednesday in Nay Pyi Taw, Xinhua reported.

Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Sun Guoxiang presented the cash donation to U Kyaw Tint Swe, vice-chairman of Myanmar's National Reconciliation and Peace Centre (NRPC) and union minister of the State Counsellor’s Office.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, U Kyaw Tint Swe thanked China, saying that China's perpetual assistance to Myanmar helps maintain the long-held paukphaw (fraternal) friendship between the two countries.
