State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi said that was she worried over people’s carelessness when some restrictions imposed during lockdown were eased since most COVID-19 laboratory confirmed cases were asymptomatic.

“Our meeting today is to warn against triviality shown by people to the COVID-19 pandemic. The restrictions imposed on this pandemic have been over three months so people are fed up with these restrictions. And people are carelessness regarding this pandemic. They think the pandemic is not as serious as we thought of. So, I am concerned about the attitudes of the people,” State Counsellor said.

She added that she would not like to see a resurgence of COVID-19 in the second wave in the country like some countries are facing now with surging cases.
