EU Ambassador to Myanmar Kristian Schmidt said that EU was helping Myanmar with dialogues and forums among different organizations and financial considerations were not crucial for them.

“Our prime assistance given to Myanmar is coordination and consultation among different organizations besides the financial assistance with the intention of having frank dialogues among them,” the EU ambassador said.

EU ambassador said these words in reply to question made by Mizzima at the briefing meeting on cooperation with civil society organizations by the EU, held at Inya Lake Hotel in Yangon on April 4.

He said by citing assistance given to Myanmar in the peace process that EU could help Myanmar in having dialogues between government and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs).

EU ambassador to Myanmar Kristian Schmidt said, “What the EU believes is inclusion of different voices coming from different organizations is very much important. We are helping to materialize such things.”

The EU is helping the peace process in Myanmar, women sectors and CSOs.
