Union Civil Service Board said that the Ministry of Health and Sports was the ministry with the most disciplined staff including dismissals from their posts among other ministries in 2018.

Most cases reported against staff were for absence without leave, violation of service regulations, legal cases against them, dereliction of duty, misappropriation, bribery and corruption, having bad moral behaviour, and actions taken due to Public Service Laws. In total 830 staff were dismissed and removed from their posts from Ministry of Health and Sports alone.

The civil Service Code of Conduct issued by Public Service Commission stipulates that staff shall be automatically dismissed from their posts after 21 days of absence without leave.

According to the figures released by Union Civil Service Board, 2,377 staff were dismissed from their posts in whole country last year.
