The Indo-Myanmar Manipur Business Matching Investment Conference and Exhibition is being held at Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI), in Mandalay.

This conference and exhibition is being held with the objectives of creating a deep understanding between India and Myanmar, boosting the momentum of trade relations between the two countries, and creating more connections among business entities.

This conference and exhibition was attended by India Consul General of Mandalay H.E. Mr. Nandan Singh Bhaisora, office bearers of MRCCI and responsible officials from brethren organizations.

Trade value between India and Myanmar was US$ 8.431 million this year until September 2018.

The major exports from Myanmar to India are assorted pulses and beans, plywood and veneers, conversions of various woods, minerals, mineral ores and fishery of both freshwater and seawater.

The major imports from India to Myanmar are pharmaceuticals, construction materials, steel and steel products, transport equipment, fossil fuels, machinery and machinery parts.

Among the 49 countries which have investments in Myanmar, India stands at 11.
