Myanmar nationals quarantined at Women and Child hospital in Yangon

South Okkalapa Women and Children Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Win Maw Oo told Mizzima that two migrant workers who returned from Covid-19-hit Daegu in South Korea were sent to her hospital on March 8 for monitoring and observation in quarantine.

A news release issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports says that 13 Myanmar nationals arrived back in Yangon from Daegu, South Korea on March 8 in the morning of which 10 were sent to South Okkalapa Women and Children Hospital and the remaining three were sent to Waibargi infectious diseases hospital.

No signs and symptoms of COVID-19 were found in these persons but Ministry of Health arranged for isolation wards for quarantine and monitoring for 14 days at South Okkalapa Women and Children Hospital, Hlegu Field Training School and Phaungyi Training School.
