Tricolour Serving Public Social Network Association is conducting an awareness campaign among people to help inform them as to how to prevent catching the COVID-19 virus.

As part of their campaign they sprayed hand sanitizer on the hands of people on Friday in the morning in busy roads and places such as Sule, Bogyoke Aung San Bazar and jetties and also they offered advice to people to prevent catching the virus.

This Tricolour Serving Public Social Network Association has been doing this awareness campaign on this virus among people on busy roads and places such as Pansodan-Dalla ferry jetty, in front of Yangon Town Hall, Sule bus stop, Bogyoke Bazar and Bogyoke Bazar bus stop, and they sprayed hand sanitizer on the hands of pedestrians at these places.

Kyaw Tun Naing from Tricolour Serving Public Social Network Association said, “We had a plan to do this work as soon as the beginning of this virus outbreak. We had meeting with friends and businessmen to consider on how to serve people for the prevention from this virus infection. At this meeting, my friend Aung Myo Kyaw donated hand sanitizers manufactured by his company to us. And then we started our work today at busy streets and places such as bus stops and jetties by sharing virus prevention information and spraying hand sanitizers on their hands.”

Recently they reportedly arranged wash basins near Yangon Town Hall and at a bus stop in Thingangyun Township for the people commuting in the city.

Kyaw Tun Naing said, “One of us gave information by loudhailer in dealing with them. We gave information systematically as per the recommendation given by WHO. Then the people gave their hands for being sprayed with hand sanitizers on both sides. They washed their hands while commuting in the city. We gave advice by using a loudhailer to them on social distancing, four feet apart in walking, not to go outside unnecessarily and to take care on their body immunity.”

According to the official press releases of the Myanmar government, in the period from January 30 to March 19, 2020, there were 173 people under surveillance and two suspect cases but there was not a single confirmed case among them.
