Sikhs in Myanmar marks 550th birthday of founder by planting trees

Myanmar’s Sikh community are today planting 550 tree saplings in Nay Pyi Taw to mark the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

The planting ceremony is taking place at Thatta Thattaha Maha Bawdi Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw.

Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.
