The Asia Foundation has developed and introduced a voter education web and mobile application called ‘mVoter 2020’. The app was developed in collaboration with International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (international IDEA) and app developer PopStack.

A statement issued by the Asia Foundation says that in ‘mVoter 2020’, users can see the profile and photos of all 6,966 candidates contesting seats in central and States/Regions houses and assemblies, information on 92 political parties which will contest in 2020 general elections, polling date, procedures and stages of vote casting, samples of rejected votes and valid votes, electoral rolls, candidates, poll observations and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) by voters, and information and statements issued by the Union Election Commission (UEC).

Users can download this ‘mVoter 2020’ on both iOS and Android operating systems and the app uses Myanmar language in its texts.
