Myanmar police's hunt for fugitive Soe Htun Shein has ended. He had escaped to Thailand after a police warrant was issued for massive tax eviction.

Soe Htun Shein, the CEO of the National Prosperity Gold Production Group (NPGPG) was brought from Mae Sai in northern Thailand to Tarchileik.

He was charged after failing to hand over about $80 millon worth of gold that his company owed in taxes.
