Mandalay General Hospital responsible official Dr. Khin Kyaw said that a woman patient with pneumonia and under COVID-19 surveillance at Kandawnadi hospital in Mandalay has died.

This patient from Tada-U, Mandalay Region was admitted at Mandalay General Hospital with pneumonia on March 16. This patient was referred to Kandawnadi hospital with suspected COVID-19 symptoms, but the Health Ministry announced the result for COVID-19 was negative.

Similarly, another woman patient aged 67 with heart, hypertension and pneumonia was admitted at Kandawnadi hospital under COVID-19 surveillance and died on March 6 the hospital confirmed that she also tested negative for the deadly virus.
