On the back of its successful service launch in Yangon, ananda has just brought in Alan Sinfield as Chief Executive Officer. He said priorities include enhancing customer service and increasing network capacity.
According to Sinfield, ananda has added some 20 more towers in Yangon, and more expansion is underway, in order to satisfy current and future demands.
Ananda (ananda) is wholly Myanmar-owned.
A seasoned telecommunications business specialist, Alan brings a wealth of global operational expertise. He has held leadership roles at numerous mobile, fixed line and broadband data operators as well as retail, media and wholesale distribution businesses across emerging markets in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Alan has served as telecoms CEO for the last 11 years and possesses well over 15 years of C-level experience. He has worked in nearly 50 countries including Asian countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Korea and Vietnam.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Alan started his career in banking and financial services, holding director-level roles in a number of European companies. Before moving to Myanmar, he was CEO of Cambodian telecommunications data service provider qb.
