Rocket Internet, which has six online businesses in Myanmar, has rolled out its latest venture, Jovago.com, an online hotel aggregating platform that focusses on domestic travellers, dealstreetasia.com reported on 19 November.
It currently has about 200 hotels listed mainly in Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle city. It intends to add more places where locals prefer to travel. The official launch is slated for December 3.
Revenue will come from the commission on the number of guests it puts up on hotels listed on the site.
Jovago has signed a partnership with Chatrium and Sedona while it is in talks with Kempinski in Nay Pyi Taw, the report said.
