The Mizzima News Agency seeks applications for the following positions:

English Assistant Editor (full-time job) - Minimum 5 years experience in journalism and editing, must be a native English speaker, knowledgeable about Burma issues, commitment to freedom of expression, and flexible with working hours.

Reporters Coordinator (full-time job) - Minimum 7 years experience in journalism and editing, must be fluent in Burmese and English languages, knowledgeable about Burma issues, commitment to freedom of expression, and flexible with working hours.

Project Manager (full-time job) - Minimum 5 years experience in organizational management, project planning and implementation, a Master’s degree in management, public relations or communications, well-experienced in narrative and financial reporting, experience working with funding agencies, and flexible with working hours.

Trainer for broadcast journalism (full-time job) – Minimum 5 years experience in broadcast journalism and training, must be able to travel for training purposes, preferably fluent in both Burmese and English, ability to be a part of a team with young journalists from Burma, and flexible with working hours.

Location:   India or Thailand

Duration: An initial 3 month probationary contract that can be extended to one year and beyond
