EU Ambassador Mr Roland Kobia and EuroCham Myanmar brought together European business people with the Yangon Chief Minister Phyo Min Thein and the Yangon regional government for an important discussion about the future development of the Yangon region.
The event was held on the evening of October 20 at the EU Residence in Yangon.
The meeting was graced by the presence of visiting Spanish Minister of State for Trade Jaime García-Legaz Ponce.
Yangon, Myanmar's commercial capital, is beginning to expand with the opening up of Myanmar. Although there have been relatively small infrastructural changes made over the last five years since the beginning of the Thein Sein government, major expansion and development plans have yet to kick in.
