Myanmar railway authorities have invited local and foreign firms to bid for a project to develop a township station west of Yangon into a transportation, retail and commercial centre, an official report said Sunday according to the Global Post on 7 June quoting Xinhua.
Development of the Kyimyindine railway station will be another project invited for bidding after that of the Pazundaung township railway station complex in April.
The Kyimyindine railway station development project will include multi-storied commercial and office buildings, hotels and service apartments on a 6.48 acres' land plot, the report said.
The authorities set Aug. 5 as the deadline for developers to submit their expressions of interest for undertaking the designing, construction, and operation of the complex.
