Established in 1998 by Burmese journalists in exile, Mizzima is an independent news organisation committed to freedom of expression and democracy. We are dedicated to providing our readers with the latest news and information on Burma while holding ourselves to the four standards of accuracy, balance diligence and reliability. Friends of Mizzima (Australia) Supporters and friends of Mizzima News have come together to establish a registered entity in Australia – Friends of Mizzima (Aust.) Incorporated – on 30 June 2008.
