Naw Ohn Hla, an ardent supporter of Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, was apprehended by authorities on Thursday night. Photo – Mizzima. The court in Insein prison on Friday postponed pronouncng  the verdict on Aung San Suu Kyi to August 11 and arrested scores of her supporters and party members. The specimen of the Burmese ornamental architecture was brought from Prome in Burma in 1854 by Lord Dalhousie, the then Governor General of British India, to Calcutta and reconstructed on the site in Eden Gardens in 1856. The original wooden structure was said to have rotted away with the passage of time but has been restored and maintained well by India.
