Xi on Sunday concluded a two-day visit to Burma, as part of his four-nation East Asian tour. During his visit, Xi met Than Shwe as well as his counterpart Vice Senior General Maung Aye, and agreed to  boost bilateral cooperation in areas of trade and commerce and to maintain peace and stability along the Sino-Burma border. The Myanmar Medical Council (MMC), on Thursday suspended the license of Dr. Kyi Soe, a surgeon at the popular private clinic - Shwe Gon Dine Specialist Clinic, for five years after investigations revealed that he had mistakenly performed an appendectomy on a 15-year-old girl, who was suffering from dengue fever.
