Army Chief blames MNDAA for shelling inside China

The Army Commander-in-Chief, Min Aung Hlaing, has blamed the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) for shells landing inside China according to reports instate media on 19 May.
The comments came as Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Vice Minister Chen Fengxiang of the International Department of the Central Committee of China’s Communist Party. According to The Global New Light of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing also said that the Tatmadaw would always focus on the stability and development of the State in line with ‘’Our Three Main National Causes,’’ while it is taking over responsibilities of national politics.
He also noted that political instability could hinder development of the country and called for,‘’ethnic armed groups to abandon armed attacks and make peace with the government.’’
