Australia’s Smartraveller travel advice service issued a warning, Wednesday, on Paletwa township in southern Chin State, Myanmar, TTRWeekly reported yesterday.
Smartraveller.org.au advises travellers to reconsider the need to visit Paletwa township in southern Chin State, due to active armed conflict in areas close by.
The Paletwa advice is colour coded amber one step down from do-not-visit colour coded red.
Fighting between ethnic the Arakan Army and Government forces escalated mid-month in the areas around Paletwa.
