The BBC Burmese Service reported on Friday evening that retired Senior General Than Shwe and NLD chairperson Aung San Suu Kyi met on December 4.
The report says they met at the military headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw. But the reason of their meeting was not divulged.
Suu Kyi also met Thura U Shwe Mann on December 4. But neither side gave details of what was discussed.
Thura U Shwe Mann wrote on his Facebook page, referring to the recent meetings of senior leaders with Suu Kyi, that the leaders are working for the good of the country.
In November, Suu Kyi met with Phoe La Pyae aka Nay Shwe Thway Aung, the grandson of former Senior General Than Shwe.
