Border police officers arrested for alleged drug trafficking

Authorities in Rakhine state have arrested seven border police officers after finding nearly 300,000 methamphetamine tablets hidden in their station in Maungdaw Township, RFA reported on 27 July.
Authorities received a tip about the illegal drugs and later found them on Wednesday at the Kyaukpantu border guard station.
Among the seven charged was a border police superintendent,the report said.
