An eight-year-old child was killed and seven people were injured by mortar shells that landed in Man-Nane-Awam Village in Kutkai Township in northern Shan State, according to the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA). 
At around 6 am on June 28, eight shells landed in the village. 
Eight people were injured. The eight-year-old child died while he was being taken to a hospital in Kutkai. 
Tatmadaw, TNLA and other people's militias groups are active in the area.  
Mizzima cannot independently verify who fired the mortar shells. 
The Tatmadaw Commander-in-chief’s office did not say anything about the incident.
