China on Saturday handed over about 100 prefabricated houses for displaced persons in Myanmar's western Rakhine state at the Myanmar Industrial Port, Xinhua reported.
Each assembled-board house can accommodate eight people and can be used for at least 20 years. The houses can endure an 8.0-magnitude earthquake.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Hong Liang pledged to continue China's assistance to conflict-displaced people in the region.
