The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will speed up the process of providing humanitarian aid in Rakhine State, state media reported on 28 June.
ICRC has been providing humanitarian aid in Rakhine State since the conflict started in August 2017. It is now planning to distribute double the quantity of food that has been provided in the areas, as it is difficult to procure food during the rainy season, according to ICRC.
ICRC chairman Peter Maurer reached Rakhine State on 26 June to observe the provision of humanitarian aid in the local area until 28 June, the report said.
