The ruling NLD on November 26 announced the names of the 18 party candidates for the by-elections to be held in April, 2017.
The by-elections will be organised for 19 seats in the Union Parliament and regional parliaments that have fallen vacant. 
The ruling NLD will compete for all the 19 vacant seats, said NLD official Win Htein.
“The name of the remaining NLD candidate will be announced next week,” said Win Htein.
