Following their visit to Rakhine State, the Rakhine State Advisory Commission chaired by Mr Kofi Annan is scheduled to meet with the President, the State Counsellor, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and MPs today and to give a press conference in Yangon on 6th December 2016, state media reported on 5 December.
A member of the Rakhine State Advisory Commission said that the commission would submit an interim report to the union government in the next two months.
The commission will make its final report a year from now, but an interim report would be much anticipated because of the ongoing tensions in northern Rakhine State, the report said.
