A second airlift of food and medical supplies has reached measles-affected Lahal Township in the Naga Self Administrative Zone, state media reported on 19 August.
As the region is difficult to access military aircraft have been relied on to deliver relief supplies.
Villagers in the township were diagnosed with measles in July and August and as a result children are in need of vitamin-enriched rice and other nutritious food. The second batch of food supplies included 104 bags of vitamin-enriched rice, edible oil, beans and pulses, canned fish, mosquito nets, and some dried foods, the report said.
