Helen Keller International presented the Helen Keller International Humanitarian Award 2016 to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, in recognition of her outstanding dedication to philanthropic causes, state media reported on 28 October.
At the ceremony, Dr Howard Cohn presented the Helen Keller International Humanitarian Award 2016 to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
The state counsellor expressed thanks to all those involved with Helen Keller International, which aims to making the vulnerable strong and thus capable of building lives that are meaningful and that will contribute to the well-being of the world in general, the report said.
