Many townships in Rakhine are affected by recent flooding due to torrential rains since July 3.
In an effort to help, Telenor subscribers in flood-affected Minbya, Kyauktaw and Mrauk-U townships will receive Kyats 500 bill in order to help facilitate communication with their family, relatives and friends.
The company said this support is provided as part of Telenor Myanmar’s Corporate Responsibility initiative.
Telenor will continue to provide support in the flood affected areas based on their needs. Telenor launched its network in Rakhine in May 2016.
Telenor, along with Ooredoo, are the two main mobile phone providers in Myanmar.
