China, Myanmar to further increase military cooperation

China and Myanmar have vowed to push forward military relations and cooperation in areas such as training and the defence industryXinhua reported on 25 May.
The pledge was made during a meeting between visiting Chinese Defence Minister Chang Wanquan and Myanmar's defence minister Sein Win in Vientiane, Laos.
Consolidating and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Myanmar serves the interests of both the Chinese and Myanmar peoples and contributes to the international and regional peace and stability, Mr Chang was quoted as saying during the meeting.
