Thailand’s Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will co-host a meeting on human trafficking prevention and suppression with the Myanmar Police Force in Kanchanaburi province to integrate anti-trafficking operations the Pattaya Mail reported on 19 July.
The DSI’s Bureau of Central Administration Director Peerapat Engpongpan revealed that the DSI and the Myanmar Police Force will hold the 12th meeting on bilateral cooperation on human trafficking prevention and mitigation from 21 July 2015, at Dheva Mantra Resort and Spa in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
The meeting aims to increase the coordination and integration of relevant information regarding human trafficking suppression, and agree on a joint strategy to suppress international trafficking activities.
