Dhaka – Amidst rising tensions since last week between the two countries over maritime boundaries, Burma and Bangladesh on Tuesday will contest a game of soccer in the Grand Royal Challenge Cup.
Host Burma will play their opening Group A match against Bangladesh in the six-team 3rd Grand Royal Challenge Cup, set to begin Tuesday at the National Stadium in Rangoon.
Burma has been placed in group A alongside favorite Indonesia and Bangladesh, while in group B, Vietnam is joined by Malaysia and Korea's Hyundai FC.
In the remaining group matches, Burma will play Indonesia on November 15, while Bangladesh will meet Indonesia two days earlier.
The two top teams from each of the two groups will play in the semi-finals on November 18 and 19, with the championship match slated for November 21.
