Chiang Mai (Mizzima) - Burma's military junta has ordered the office of the Rangoon Division Peace and Development Council (PDC) be shifted within two weeks from its current location in downtown Rangoon to Parliament House on Pyay Road, sources in the government said.

The Rangoon Division PDC office is currently located in a multi-office complex building at the corner of Sule and Strand Roads in Kyuaktada Township. But Naypyitaw has ordered the office to be moved and made functional at its new location by the 1st of January, 2009.

The order comes as the government has decided to sell off the old building, which currently hosts the offices of the Rangoon Division court and police, in addition to the PDC, a source added.
