New Delhi (Mizzima) - Detained Burmese democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi was permitted a meeting with her legal counsels on Friday, a spokesperson of her party, the National League for Democracy, said.

“We don’t know what the purpose of the meeting was. The lawyers were permitted to enter her [Aung San Suu Kyi] home this afternoon,” Ohn Kyaing, the NLD spokesperson said.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s lawyers, including Nyan Win, met her at her lakeside home on Rangoon’s University Avenue from 1 p.m to 2:30 p.m (Local time).

The lawyers, following the meeting, have gone to Ministry of Home affairs in Rangoon.
