(Mizzima) - The author of ‘The Shan: Refugees without a Camp’, Bernice Hoehler Johnson, Khuensai Jaiyen, the editor of the Shan Herald for News and Charm Tong of the Shan Women’s Action Network, will hold a panel discussion on the plight of the Shan people on Sunday, January 30, at 6 p.m. at the the Sangdee Gallery at 5 Sirimankhalajarn Road, Soi 5, in Chiang Mai.
Johnson, a US citizen, will read from her book, which will be available for purchase. She has worked as a volunteer teacher in the Shan community in Thailand and Burma for many years.
