Chiang Mai (Mizzima) – Win Tin, a co-founder of the National League for Democracy (NLD), was admitted to Asia Royal Hospital in Sanchaung Township in Rangoon at 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to sources. His condition is not known.

The 81-year-old veteran journalist and political dissident has suffered from heart and breathing problems in recent years, complications resulting from his two decades of imprisonment in Burma's notorious Insein Prison.
Despite his health problems, Win Tin has continued to speak publicly and attend NLD events. He is considered a close ally of Aung San Suu Kyi and is a popular, well-known figure in Burma.
