Motorcycle driver training license lowered to age 16

Rangoon (Mizzima) – Starting August 1, the age to apply for a motorcycle driver training license (for 110 cc motorcycles) was lowered to 16, an official of the Road Transport Administration Department told Mizzima. The previous age was 17.

“Our main objective is to serve the university students,” he said.
 
At age16 , a person must obtain a driver training license in order to drive a low-level motorcycle. Motorcycle driver's licenses are granted at the township office of the Road Transport Administration Department

At age 18, a person may apply for a motorcycle driver’s license covering all sizes of motorcycles.
