Two suspects of the double murder in Pyitharyar Street, Thingangyun Township were arrested by the police.

Today's 'Weekly Eleven' issue reported that the police arrested an unnamed 25-year old man from Zeebingyi, Pyinoolwin Township and another 26-year old from Myoma South ward, Syriam Township.

The news report said that the suspects were traced by their stolen GSM tephone with assistance from the Myanmar Communication Department.

"It is learnt that the phone had reached Syriam through Tamwe Township on August 19 evening," the news report said.

U Thein Tun (44) and Daw Thet Thet Khaing (41) from Pyitharyar Street, Pyidawthar Ward, Thingangyun Township, Rangoon were found dead with stab wounds on August 19.

The bodies were found on the first floor of their two-storeyed building only when a neighbour noticed the couple's young son sitting alone in the premises.

The police said that the killers took one GSM telephone, about 100 assorted precious stones and Kyat 30,000 in cash.
