Myanmar-China border trade fair to be held next month

The 17th annual Myanmar-China border trade fair will be held in Myanmar's Muse border town next month, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Friday.

The border trade, scheduled for Dec. 12-16, will showcase with 400 booths -- 300 from China and 100 from Myanmar.

Meanwhile, the 13th Myanmar-China Joint Border Trade Cooperating and Coordinating Committee (JBTCCC) meeting will also be held on that day.

Aiming to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the China-Myanmar trade fair has been annually held since 2001.

In accordance with the figures of the Commerce Ministry, bilateral trade between Myanmar-China totaled 11.8 billion US dollars in last fiscal year 2017-2018.
