Storm likely to affect Myanmar

Myanmar’s Meteorology Hydrology Department has forecast that a low pressure area may form in the Bay of Bengal in the next 18 hours as from yesterday evening as international weather agencies predicts a small storm possibly forming tomorrow, the 17 May, according to state media.
The weather bureau said in its 7 pm announcement yesterday that rain with thunder is expected within 24 hours as from yesterday at 6.30 pm over Sagaing Region, Kachin State, Shan State (north), Chin State, Nay Pyi Taw, Magway, Kayah, Kayin and Mon State with an 80 per cent degree of certainty.
