The UEFA Champions League Trophy arrived in Myanmar yesterday along with its global ambassador, former UEFA Champions League and Arsenal player, Fredrik Ljungberg.
Trophy events and meet-ups with Fredrik Ljungberg are lined up throughout the week. Fans were able to get a first look at the Trophy yesterday in a street parade from the Myanmar Football Federation office through downtown Yangon which ended at the Sedona Hotel.
Planned throughout the week are a series of interactive fan powered events that include a super fan’s dream Trophy encounter, a pub quiz with the Trophy at Union Bar, and a grand celebration (for 18s and over) at the Shwe Htut Tin Arena.
The trophy will be on tour in Yangon from 20 to 26 March before moving on to Vientiane, Laos.
