Parliament has said that 17 March will be the date that nominees for the positions of President and two vice-presidents will be announced.
The three candidates are to be nominated respectively from the group of elected House of Representatives (Lower House), the group of elected House of Nationalities (Upper House) and the group from military-nominated representatives.
Once the three names are put before the 664-member parliament, all members will take a vote. The person with the largest number of votes will become president, and the other two will be vice presidents.
