Sun Guoxiang, the Chinese Foreign Ministry's special envoy for Asian Affairs, will attend the Union Peace Conference, also known as the 21st Century Panglong Peace Conference at the invitation of Myanmar's government, a foreign ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.
According to reports, the third meeting of the 21st Century Panglong Peace Conference will be held today.
China supports Myanmar's efforts to advance the country's peace process and achieve national reconciliation, and wishes the meeting success, spokesperson Hua Chunying told a daily press briefing.
