Sept 2010 - PNO chairman U Khun San Lwin said that the organization will not have problems during the election campaign because it has been implementing development projects since 1996 after signing a cease-fire agreement with the government. Moreover, PNO will only be contesting in Hopone township, Sesaing Township and Pinlaung Township where majority are Pa-O people. He continued that the election comission has approved all 10 of PNO candidates are qualified for their candidancy. One candidate will contest for Nationalities Assembly, one candidate will contest for People Assembly in each township and two candidates will contest for State Assembly in each township.
