Prime Minister U Thein Sein received a delegation led by His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talah Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud who is also the Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company of Saudi Arabia at the hall of the Government Office. After the call, the Prime Minister attended the ceremony to donate cash to the funds for storm victims of Rakhine State and for the social activities of Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association at the hall of the Government Office.

Burmese Foreign Minister Nyan Win met with an Iranian goodwill delegation led by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and deputy director-general of the Foreign Ministry's political department at the Foreign Ministry in Naypyidaw. The two sides agreed to expand their business ties and increase cooperation in regional and international forums such as the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement. They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish bilateral consultations between the two foreign ministries. The Iranian delegation also met the chairman and members of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Rangoon.

A five-member Korean delegation composed of legislators of the ruling Grand National Party visited Burma. An agreement to jointly exploit with the Burmese government two more gas blocks was signed. The South Korean government will also help Burma train agricultural experts as part of its Seamaul Undong Set Model for Foreign Countries Program, according to the Burmese agricultural authorities
