A bomb exploded in the compound of Electric Power Corporation (EPC) in Kalaw township, southern Shan State on November 16.

‘The noise was very loud. While praying, I heard a loud bang. I learned that the bomb exploded near the flag-pole at the entrance to the EPC office. Two staff members were said to have been hit,‘ said a resident in Kalaw township.

Another resident said a man suffered minor chest injuries and a window was broken. The bomb exploded near a military intelligence office and on the way to the main entrance to Defence Services Command and General Staff College.
