Authorities registered a case against a person who failed to follow the directive issued by Kayah State COVID-19 pandemic containment and treatment committee under section 30(a) of Natural Disaster Management Law at Loikaw Myoma police station.

A post on the Kayah State Police Force Facebook page says that Sai Wunna who came from Mandalay by using Shan State Pekon Town road was stopped by authorities at Peking Kawkhu checkpoint for a health check but he didn’t obey the signal and fled from this checkpoint until he reached Lay Maing model village in Demoso.

Kayah State, Loikaw Township administrator and chairman of Township COVID-19 Emergency Response Committee Yan Naing Win said that after finding Sai Wunna who refused to undergo a health check-up at his village was sent to quarantine centre and then ordered to stay in home isolation.
